PACE: Develop clear Pathways for students - working with Pathways committee, develop recognized pathway for LAHC students to CSUDH PACE program and beyond
PACE: Develop program review and articulated program needs- such as, counselor, student worker, full time faculty and support
Flex Workshop: When decorating my office I placed an rainbow ally sticker at my door, along with Dreamer poster inside. Since Fall 2016, multiple students have "come out" in office hours and in their coursework, by identifying as LGBTQ and/or Undocumented. Thus, I attended a day long LGBTQ and Dreamer Ally Safe Zone certification training at East Los Angeles College. I have since collaborated with ELAC Ally trainers and am planning an LGBTQ flex workshop in Winter 2020. I will be presenting with students, as I believe, even our training can and should highlight student voices. I have also shared resources and documents with LAHC Dreamers committee.
LGBTQ student club: Students have approached me about process of putting together LGBTQ student group and asked me to be faculty advisor. They are currently recruiting, but I am working with some to provide informal space and support. Students are interested in the planning and figuring out possible intersections with current cultural student programs and organizations, like DUAPP (Dreamers, Umoja, APASS, Puente).
Hiring Committee: As full-time PACE faculty, I will be on hiring committee for PACE director. I look forward to being part of the process with my colleagues. The PACE program will greatly benefit from program director and leadership.
Ongoing Outreach/Cross Collaboration: Continue to meet, outreach and bridge student resources for PACE students with Honors, Harbor Advantage, DUAPP, EOPS, counseling and programs.
Data-Gathering: I want to continue to have ongoing data tracking of PACE student trajectories and success. I plan on collaborating with new PACE director about ways to implement tracking.
Access: From our PACE student focus group data, many students voiced their challenges meeting with counselors and access to the library/tutoring, along with other administrative offices. Thus, I look forward to working and meeting with Student Services, Counseling and library to troubleshoot some of those issues.
Courses: Offer literature courses, in PACE schedule, specifically to PACE transfer to CSUDH PACE program. Advocate by using student focus group, and testimonies, to illustrate that literature courses are needed and wanted by students. There needs to be meetings and strategic planning with Communications about scheduling and rotation. I plan on meeting with Chair, Ann Warren, to discuss Fall 2018 schedule.

I would like to research and attend conferences that address acceleration curriculum and online pedagogical strategies. Canvas is an new ongoing resource, and I would like to continue figuring out innovative ways to serve students.
